Each year during the International Agricultural Fair, the Agricultural General Competition promotes and rewards the best French agricultural and agri-food productions. This year, the Maïsadour Cooperative Group with its Maison Delpeyrat and Fermiers du Sud-Ouest subsidiaries was awarded seven medals, including three gold ones, marker of the Cooperative’s commitment to the production of quality products and the preservation of excellence.
The Seed Business Line has several strategic activities: the selection and the development of new maize varieties (temperate and tropical), of sunflowers and various species (alfalfa, rapeseed, soybeans, sorghum, cover crops, forage mixtures, etc.), the seed production and their marketing. MAS Seeds, one of the main European actors in for maize and sunflowers t is selfstructured with 11 subsidiaries in Europe, 1 in Mexico and 1 in Ivory Coast The MAS Seed brand is marketed in more than 50 countries and offers a wide range of seeds and innovative and sustainable solutions.
The year 2023 was marked again by two crisis of avian influenza, in January and May that affected the productions of the Maïsadour Cooperative and therefore the Poultry and Gourmet Business Lines. But thanks to the extraordinary mobilization of the teams and of the members, the returns to breeding successfully planed in time so the holidays season could satisfy our customers and consumers!
