Maïsadour is committed to the future of young talent!

GROUPE MAÏSADOUR

On November 14, Maïsadour signed a partnership agreement with the “Nos Quartiers Ont des Talents” (NQT) association. This initiative is fully in line with pillar 3 of our AMBiTiON 2030 strategy, as it aims to support young graduates in their professional integration through volunteer managers.

NQT, a springboard for employment

Since its creation, NQT has been working to promote equal opportunity by helping young graduates from disadvantaged neighborhoods and modest backgrounds to find employment.

More than just a committed association, NQT stands out for its network of companies and its innovative professional mentoring program. Each young graduate benefits from the sponsorship of an active executive or manager, who shares his or her experience and skills to facilitate integration into the job market. The scheme, which is aimed at managers, has already proved its worth: 70% of young people supported find a job, work-study or internship corresponding to their qualifications in around 6 months.

Since 2006, nearly 85,000 young people have been supported thanks to the commitment of 15,000 sponsors. This year, the association will pass the 1,600 mark for young people supported in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region! A number that continues to grow. So we need to find new sponsors to support them in their professional projects.

“Thanks to my mentor, I learned how to sell myself and expand my network. The events organized helped me find unexpected opportunities.”

What does the role of mentor involve?

Despite their qualifications, young graduates encounter obstacles linked to a lack of network or understanding of the codes of the job market. The role of mentors is to help them build their professional future:

  • Drafting a CV or cover letter,
  • Deciphering the job market and developing their professional network
  • Listening, advice, etc.

This voluntary support offers interesting flexibility for the mentors, since, depending on availability and research objectives, the time allocated is on average one hour per month. Numerous tools and access to the association’s network of mentors are also made available to help future mentors in their role.

“Young people have a wide range of needs. We provide them with neutrality and solutions to consider Plan Bs, without pressure. These moments of exchange are always enriching, and some sponsorships lead to lasting relationships of trust.”

Pascale, NQT Godmother

This partnership strengthens equal opportunities by facilitating the professional integration of young talent through the mobilization of volunteer managers. An inspiring model which, following the signing of the partnership, already counts several of our employees as mentors.
