After three days of auditing, Delmas was once again awarded IFS “superior” level certification last December. This distinction once again confirms our commitment to quality and food safety. The 98.67% mark attests to the efforts made by all our teams to maintain the highest standards and meet the expectations of our customers and partners. It is therefore in line with pillar 2 of our AMBiTiON 2030 strategy.
What is IFS certification?
IFS (International Featured Standards) certification is a global accreditation that defines product safety and quality standards at all levels of the supply chain. In other words, it aims to reduce risks, enhance transparency and guarantee the satisfaction of distributors and end consumers alike. The aim is to optimize all stages of the supply process, in order to reduce the risks associated with product recalls, and to ensure greater transparency between manufacturers and distributors.
Each year, audits are carried out over several days between September and April. Every three years, companies are assessed unannounced, unlike in other years when assessments are scheduled.
Delmas, a company in constant improvement
The first audit for IFS certification dates back to 2016. Following this audit, the subsidiary obtained the “superior” level and a score of 95.58%. Since then, Delmas renews these audits annually as part of a continuous improvement process.
The year 2024 marked a turning point, as the subsidiary was one of the first to be audited according to the latest standard. Following this audit, Delmas was awarded a grade of 98.67%, a “superior” level. A number of strengths were identified during the audit, notably in production, with its mastery of traceability, quality control and maintenance, with its well-maintained infrastructure, to name but a few. To take things further, a number of areas for improvement were suggested.
This result is the fruit of a daily collective effort by the quality and production teams, accompanied by all Delmas support teams.
In 2025, Delmas aims to maintain the same level of excellence by pursuing its innovation efforts. The aim is to strengthen its market position and renew its certification. This year will also be an opportunity to renew the other certifications relating to the aquaculture sector that the company already holds: Aquaculture de nos régions, Poissons d’aquaculture Français, Agriculture Biologique etc.
