To meet the challenge of the food sovereignty and value the members’ production, Maïsadour is committed to a virtuous free-range breeding mode with its poultry chain. Fermiers du Sud-Ouest, subsidiary of the Group specialized in Red Label poultry and owner of the St SEVER signature brand, offers healthy and sustainable product thanks to local feed. Maïsadour, with its Graines d’Alliance plant, provides animal feed made of 100% local non-GMO and non-deforesting soybean that is used in the feed of the St SEVER chickens. This subsidiary allows the group to reduce its carbon footprint by 15% for the Red Label poultry.

In May 2023, Maïsadour, MAS Seeds and Bordeaux Sciences Agro signed a strategic partnership to develop joint training, studies and research projects in agroecology and digital for agriculture. One year after this signature, several actions have been implemented to develop together some solutions to the challenges of tomorrow’s agriculture and to drive the agricultural transition on the territory’s farms.

The Delmas and Fermiers du Périgord factories located respectively in Castet (40) and Terrasson (24) have completed their site industrial performance audits as part of the “Usine du Futur” program. This system from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region is intended to develop the French industry of the future and to support the industries with their transition.
