The birth of VEGA* MAÏSADOUR
In order to better meet the expectations of our farmer and industrial customers, the cooperative's plant activity is being structured around a new brand, with new modern, more attractive offers and new services.
The cooperative announces the creation of VEGA* MAÏSADOUR, which materializes the transformation of the Group’s plant activity
The cooperative’s plant activity is now known under the VEGA* Maïsadour brand. This new brand is aimed at farmers and plant manufacturers. It offers a complete range of production, services and products for the plant sectors of tomorrow. From a range of value-added corn to risk management solutions (climatic, market volatility) and offers to develop one’s farm. On the downstream side, we put farmers in touch with plant manufacturers: selecting qualified producers, co-constructing specifications, and facilitating contacts via a platform are the added value of VEGA* Maïsadour.
Leader in plant expertise
VEGA* Maïsadour has positioned itself as the leader in plant expertise “from seed to plate” in the South-West. This is a further illustration of the transformation undertaken by the cooperative’s plant division to adapt to the future challenges facing agriculture, in particular the transition to regenerative agriculture and the digitalization of the sector.
VEGA* MAÏSADOUR, the new brand!
With this new brand, Maïsadour’s plant division has acquired a clear identity and a strong positioning in order to be more visible in the “plant” market: VEGA* stands for “Plant Expertise from Seed to Plate”.
“Farmers and manufacturers alike are facing a changing world,” explains Laurent Badin, Sales Director of Maïsadour’s plant division. “Farmers are faced with frequent climatic hazards and the need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. For their part, manufacturers have to meet new consumer expectations,” he explains.
With its new VEGA* Maïsadour brand, the cooperative is supporting tomorrow’s farmers by increasing the value of their production in a high-performance, profitable way.
Under the slogan “Végétale Expertise de la Graine à l’Assiette” (Plant Expertise from Seed to Plate), VEGA* Maïsadour supports and trains farmers and puts them in touch with plant manufacturers. It co-constructs specifications with them and organizes their contact via a platform.
It is also positioned with plant manufacturers, guaranteeing them traced sourcing and securing their supplies, in terms of volume and quality, in the long term.
VEGA* Maïsadour’s offer is based on 3 major areas:

VEGA* Maïsadour will soon be offering support to interested farmers with specific problems: erosion control, windbreaks, improving neighborly relations, "low-carbon" production, etc.

2024
“We are proud to unveil today our VEGA Maïsadour brand, which is part of our ongoing transformation, which was kicked off by the “Farm of the Future” event last fall. It reflects our desire to modernize our approach: learning logistics, digitalization, securing farmers’ income, low-carbon production, and also the launch of honey production on farms to revive biodiversity. In short, our commitment is to sustainably transform our plant division. This new offer will enable farmers and manufacturers to face the future more serenely, by supporting them and offering them solutions for a regenerative agriculture”
