COOPERATIVE VALUES AT THE HEART OF OUR 2024 STATUTORY GENERAL ASSEMBLY

MAÏSADOUR GROUP
Maïsadour's annual statutory General Assembly was held on 10 December in Larbey (Landes), in the presence of around fifty member delegates from our regional sections.

Final step of our cooperative meetings of this year, this convivial event highlighted the values of the cooperative model, using 5 key words. Several farmer members and employees took to the stage to illustrate what these words mean in practice in their daily lives and in their relationship with Maïsadour.

Commitment

‘The relationship and the work with the farmer members are the commitment of all of us. It guides our day-to-day activity. Our aim is to provide them with reliable technical and economic expertise, to develop and diversify their production, and to think about the coherence of our actions and our territorial coverage.

Yannick Montéan, Sales Director VEGA* Maïsadour / Agralia

Adaptability

‘Farming and our economic environment have changed a lot in recent years. We need to be adaptable to meet the needs of our sectors, our region and our farmer members. Our teams are capable of bouncing back and coming up with new solutions to maximise our performance.

Innovation

‘Innovation is a real asset that enables farmers and the Cooperative to stand out from the crowd. Thanks to the work of our Research & Innovation teams, Maïsadour aims to be a leader and driving force in this field. This is what we demonstrated at La Ferme du Futur in September.

Performance

‘For several years now, through the Cooperative, I have been implementing regenerative farming tools and solutions (beApi, LICORN, Irrifarm, etc.). It's vital for the future of our farms, both in terms of sustainability and performance.

Benoît Labarthe, farmer member at Uchacq-et-Parentis (Landes)

‘At Maïsadour, the way we work as a chain is a real asset that we need to exploit. We are optimising this performance thanks to our new S&OP process, which aims in particular to reduce our stocks, improve our customer service and increase the efficiency of our equipment.

Teamwork

‘We weren't originally cooperative members, but we immediately felt a climate of trust at Maïsadour. Every link in the chain worked with us to provide guidance and help our farm to be sustainable and long-lasting.

Rémi Deyres, farmer member at Sainte-Colombe (Landes)

Faced with the current challenges, which call for a rethink of our production methods, these different testimonies have shown that cooperative values are more meaningful than ever. Farmer members and employees alike are moving in the same direction to build the future of the farming and agri-food industries.
